This is NOT a album that you can listen to in a party atmosphere; it’s more or less music you have to listen to in your headphones yet not super lyrical.. Backed by Kid Cudi's introspective persona, eclectic taste in beats.. To be honest/real it's not made for mainstream hip hop, sort of very daring and different & creative from mainstream music.. It feels like this is Kid Cudi's imitation of Kanye's 808's and heartbreaks... On the production side of things he gets a lot of help from Emile, known for his work with Rhymefest, Obie Trice, AZ, Ice Cube and very recently Slaughterhouse... The sound of this album is rather hard to describe... You can hear some hip hop influence, but it's very much infused with electro and/or some psychadelic rock shit... All in all i can fuck wit it he takes a crazy chance but the sum up is.... it's his dream so i give it a B-
