Over a span of several videos, the Originals by Qubic initiative recently culminated in a large-scale party at as it featured the attendance of multi-faceted designer Kazuki Kuraishi. In addition to him making the trip down to New Zealand, the unveiling of five exclusive adidas Originals footwear designs were created on the backs of five regional personalities including Frank Liew of Qubic, Woody of Sneaker Freaker, Chris Lewis Steve Downie and Sean Aickn. OPENING CEREMONY TOKYO
Avant-garde high-fashion retailer Opening Ceremony celebrates the grand opening of its Tokyo location today, August 30th. The eight-story “conceptual department store” will serve as a kind of mini-mall for indie labels such as Nom de Guerre, Patrick Ervell, Sophomore, United Bamboo and of course the house label, to name a few. Opening Ceremony Japan also marks the brand’s first venture overseas.

Supreme pulls the covers off its 2009 fall/winter
Arguably one of, if not the most respected brands around, the skate-centric label brings together a collection featuring a strong collection of headwear, outerwear, t-shirts as well as increasingly more apparent footwear releases including a desert boot. Collaborations include Buck Knives, Bicycle Playing Cards, Hanes and Mickey Mouse. For release dates, the collection will hit stores Thursday, September 3rd in NY/LA, Saturday, September 5th in Japan and online on Thursday, September 10th at 11:00 am EST.
